Garden Centre Visit

Last week I visited Joan in Surrey. Spring is finally here and I suggested a trip to a nearby Garden Centre which is becoming well-known for it's cafe. Unfortunately the website stated that meals were only available at w/e. But we decided to go anyway.

As you can see the place is rather upmarket with a sort of shabby chic look about it. I could imagine Country Living or Home & Gardens photographing the interior. My own efforts were taken as I waited for tea and cakes.

Food was available, but we'd already eaten and arrived at the end of the lunch hour. I loved roses in metal pots on table and purchased a pot, unfortunately I wanted a white rose but they were obviously popular. Instead I brought a purple daisy for the kitchen table, silver thyme for my white border and an usual primula. I would have brought more but I need to conserve finances.

There was a flood warning where I parked the car, which I didn't think mattered, therefore I was very surprised on returning to the car to find the river (Thames) had risen and flooded the bottom of the road. Luckily I had parked further down!
